When your item is found by someone and it is recovered through our service, we'll notify you to pay our recovery fee. Once paid, we'll begin the recovery process depending on what method of recovery you choose. The method of recovery will also depend on whether the finder is willing to take the item to a local post office/ParcelShop or allow you to collect it from them directly.
If you agree to a direct collection, our recovery fee will only include a service charge as postage, packaging, handling and insurance charges do not apply. You could have your item back within a day but this depends on what arrangements you make with the finder.
If you choose our direct recovery method, the finder will post the item to you once they have received our pre-paid postage packet. Typically, your item could be with you between 3 to 5 working days from when the item was reported found.
If you choose our relay recovery method to keep your address and identity hidden, the finder will post the item to us and we'll relay it on to you. Typically, your item could be with you between 5 to 7 working days from when the item was reported found.
The time taken to get an item back will ultimately depend on several factors that may include how quickly a finder is willing to post an item, how efficient the postal service is, or what arrangements are made for collection. The quickest way to get your item back is through a direct collection. For items that are associated with your address such as a wallet or keys, we always recommend using the relay recovery method to ensure the finder never knows your name or address.
